Privacy policy

  1. Who we are.

    BeSure is run by Done Yesterday, LLC, 733 W. University Ave, Tempe, AZ 85251, USA (“we”). Contact: [email protected].

  2. What this covers.

    This policy covers the BeSure website and service.

  3. What we collect

    • Account: your email address, and a hashed password if you choose one.
    • Billing: your billing name, address and payment status, from Stripe. Card details go to Stripe only.
    • Your school: facts you confirm, your web team’s email and the name you enter, the changes you send.
    • Public information: AI answers about your school and public pages of your school’s website.
    • Technical: IP address and basic request details in server logs and for abuse limits; a sign-in cookie; a small setting in your browser that remembers whether you have seen the tour.

  4. Why we use it

    • To run the service you signed up for (your account, your Scorecard, sending your changes to your web team, telling you when an answer changes).
    • To keep the service safe (abuse limits, security logs).
    • To reply to you.

    We do not sell personal data, show ads or use advertising or analytics trackers.

  5. Legal basis (for people in the EU and UK).

    We use your data to provide the service you asked for (contract) and to keep it secure (legitimate interests).

  6. Who we share it with.

    Only the services listed on our Security page, to run the service. They receive personal data only where the table says so. Some are in the United States; where required, we rely on standard contractual safeguards.

  7. How long we keep it

    • Account and school data: while your account is open, then deleted within 30 days of closing it.
    • Server logs: up to 30 days.
    • Billing records: as long as tax law requires, usually 7 years.
    • AI answers about your school are public information and may be kept to show changes over time.

  8. Your rights.

    You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your personal data, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected]. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

  9. Cookies.

    One sign-in cookie, needed for the service. No advertising or analytics cookies.

  10. Students and children.

    The service is for school staff. We do not collect student data and do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

  11. Changes.

    If we change this policy, we update the date above and tell account holders by email about important changes.
